Kids love to play with food. Not just real food, but fake food too. Every kid has a little kitchen somewhere where they make up their own recipes, bake fake cakes and cookies, and pretend they’re a chef at the world’s best restaurant. The most fun thing about this is all the toys that can be added to make the experience even more real.
For little kids, it’s best to play with fake food toys that look as much like the real thing as possible. For example, if they want to bake cookies, they can get some cookies of different shapes and sizes. If they want to make a cake, they can set up a little table and put their frosting on and decorate with sprinkles and chocolate chips. This way it’ll still seem like a real kitchen but also keeps the mess to a minimum! If kids want them to feel like they’re really shopping for groceries, get them a play food set that sells things kids would eat—they’ll be able to buy boxes of cereal, cans of soup, frozen vegetables, and just about anything else they can think of (except actual food!) With our pay food for kids, you can even set up your own pretend grocery store in your house! Use baskets or cardboard boxes as coolers or freezers and fill them with all the toy food. Bake for an imaginary friend or family member. Kids can make muffins, cookies, cakes—whatever their heart desires! They can decorate the treat with sprinkles and colored sugar to really make it shine. This may seem like a one-time activity, but when your child has an imaginary friend over for dinner, she’ll probably want to bake her something special too. One time my nephew brought his dolls over for dinner and made them chicken nuggets in the oven (he wanted to eat healthily). He was so proud that he had made his friends dinner! Our play food sets come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, with options that are realistic enough to be mistaken for the real thing (and hopefully not eaten by the little ones…) but also plenty of amusingly wacky designs. Kids will have a blast mixing up food toys from around the world, creating giant raw meat sandwiches or fruit bowls worthy of a monster movie. Parents will enjoy watching their kids’ imaginations run wild—and no matter what you’re making, there’s always room for more! There are so many ways to play with a set of fake food toys! Kids can make ice cream sundaes, create a cake with all the toppings, pretend you’re at a restaurant, or even recreate the dishes you’ve made in real life. Our play food for kids is full of everything you need to make your favorite desserts and treats—there is 44 pieces total, including ice cream scoopers and spoons, and all of the different types of ice cream that can be assembled and decorated. There are also decorations like sprinkles, ice cream cones, and flavored syrups that add to the fun! It’s not just for use in pretend play (although it works great for that), either. Kids can use it to learn about counting and sorting by shape and color. They love being able to take out all the different foods and put them on our little plates or in our toy ice cream cone holder. There are so many opportunities for learning as well as imaginative play! The Fun About Toy Food
