I purchased this cube along with many others to determine which would be the best to create a mosaic art out of. (This will be my choice of cubes when I make my mosaic) Out of the box an all around fantastic product. Good quality and inexpensive. This is cube does not have sticks, so no having to worry about pealing edges. Smooth and easy turning. Colors are vivid and easy to see. The individual pieces are sandwiched together which i find helpful when looking for pieces at high speeds. (This allows you the opportunity to identify a piece on its profile instead of having to turn the cube to view it on the side.) This cube cuts corners really well. The cubes center tiles can be removed to adjust the tension of the springs allowing for some customization. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to get into cubing. Having multiple cubes with the same tension and characteristics is great for finding average speed of solve. Durability, I am unsure at the moment how it will hold up to continuous solving, and I am unsure as to how this cube would fair at being dropped. If your looking to get into cubing or just looking to have a few more cubes around the house this is a great purchase. Will be purchasing again.Edit: I have been using these cubes for 3 months now. Have used them to teach several classes on cubing and they work great. I would recommend tightening the tension on the springs slightly to prevent the corner pieces from twisting out of place. Great cubes!

At first I thought they were small because of the magic style packaging. Then I thought they were way too loose. However they turned out to be the same size and move very quickly as I needed to speed up my cubing. The kids pulled one apart completely but I was able to put it back together. From time to time they twist my corners but im able to twist them back into position. I just ordered another set of 6 to feed my addiction.

Back in the 80’s I had one of the original Rubik’s Cubes (3x3x3) and managed to work it in about 51 seconds. After years of not playing with one I decided to bet one and see if I could relearn how to work it. I found several in the price range of about $6-$13, then I found this one for 6 speed cubes for under $15. I figured since they are built for speed, it might be a little more forgiving when working it and it is. I like the fact that these cubes have no stickers because the stickers will eventually lose their adhesion and fall off. I am very pleased with the quality and ease of movement in these cubes. The instructions are a bit longer than the method I had learned 40 years ago and they seem a little backwards to me, but they will result in a solved puzzle. I consulted youtube for instructions and tips as well which seemed to help a little. The outer box contains 6 cubes which are individually boxed within, each cube with it’s own instruction booklet.I seem to remember the cube being a little bigger than these cubes are but I googled the dimensions of the original cube and it was 2.25 inches, these cubes are 2.2 so that is close enough. Just seems it was bigger then than it is now – could be due to my hands being so much bigger now than when I was 12.Does anyone have the instructions that came with the 1980’s cube? I’d love to get my hands on them.

These are perfect speed cubes. They high quality and are so easy to rotate you can rotate them with one hand. They have a spring that helps with the speed and keeps the rotation exceptionally smooth. I have been able to complete it in under a minute several times, though I am not nearly as fast as I could be if I worked on my finger rotation. (Photo with watch is the time my son got before I showed him the finger rotation trick.) The colors are vibrant and are set in the plastic. (No stickers 😉) With this set of 6, you can combine them together to create larger designs and simple pixle images. (I have a couple two cube designs in the photos as examples.) I recommend these speed cubes.

It’s not 3in by 3in as I thought, just 3×3 cubes, so much smaller than a regular Rubiks cube. However, it is very smooth to turn. I like that it’s individual packaged so I can give it out as class prizes. It’s light and small, but if you or your kids like that then it’s perfect. It also doesn’t have stickers so might last longer.
