There are many different ways to make these boxes, but here are some ideas:

Use a cereal box. Cut out the top of the box and use it as a lid. Cut out some holes in the bottom of the box for drainage and then place it in an appropriate-sized pot or container filled with soil and plants. This makes a great planter for house plants or herbs! Cut out another hole in the bottom of the box for drainage and place in water for floating candles (again real or fake). These are great for parties!

Use brown paper bags cut into strips (about 2-3 inches wide) and then use those strips as handles on each side of a box. You could even add ribbons around each handle if you want them more decorative looking!
