What to do with the kids on Valentine’s Day?

Valentine’s Day is a special day for couples, but it’s also a great time for little ones to exchange kid valentine cards. What to do with the kids on Valentine’s Day? Here are some fun Valentine’s Day ideas for kids so they can have a great time celebrating the holiday too!

Make Kid Valentine Cards together

Kid Valentine Cards are a fun way to give someone a special message. You can make them at home or have your child help write the words on pretty paper or cardstock.

Ideas to make Kid Valentine Cards

Kid Valentine cards are a great way to show your child how much you love him or her. These cards can be shared with your kids at school or home, depending on the occasion.

1) Make heart shaped card using red colored card stock paper with glittering stars on it.

2) Make a box shaped card with pink colored paper and print ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ text in white color along with red hearts drawn on it.

3) Make an envelope shaped card with red paper and write ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ text inside it using black marker pen or paint brush dipped in red ink or paint bucket filled with red water color solution (liquid).

How to make Kid Valentine Cards?

Write an inspirational quote on the card and draw stick figures around it. For example, write “Be kind” and draw a happy face with hearts for eyes, or “You’re my best friend” with two kids holding hands.

Write your child’s name in crayon on the card and decorate it with stickers or glitter.

Make a photo collage by gluing pictures of you and your child onto paper. Glue these onto colored construction paper and trim them out into squares (you can cut out small squares if they’re too big). Then glue each square onto the front of a greeting card using double-sided tape or glue dots. If you like, write “We share so much together!” on the inside of the card where there is room for more writing.

Make Your Own Valentines

If you have older children, this is a great way to get them involved in the celebration. You can have them help pick out materials and design their own valentines cards to give to friends and family members. If you have younger children, they can still decorate their own cards with stickers or markers since they aren’t writing words yet.

DIY Arts and Crafts Rather than Kid Valentine Cards

Valentine Coloring Books

These valentines coloring books are perfect for kids to create their own cards and crafts. They can also use them as party favors or gifts.

Kids love to color, so these coloring books are a great way to keep them engaged. The best part is that they come with a few pages of pre-printed designs that kids can color in, but they’ll still be able to add their own flair by choosing colors and patterns that match their special valentine’s personality.

You can find many different themes for the coloring book, including rainbows, hearts, flowers and more. You can also get themed activity pads that include stickers, games and activities for kids to do together with friends or family members on Valentine’s Day.

Valentine Wooden Craft

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. The kids will be very excited about this day because it is a special occasion for them to share their love with their friends and family members. So, let’s make some easy Valentine arts and crafts with them. Here is an idea that will help you to make some DIY Valentine wooden crafts with your kids.

Materials:

Wooden board (the size of your choice)

Glue gun (or any other glue)

Paintbrush

Red, white & pink acrylic paint (or any other color as per your choice)

Instructions:

Make sure that your child is wearing old clothes so that they don’t get messy while painting their painting. Apply glue on the wooden board with a paintbrush and press down the paper on it so that it sticks well on the surface of the board. Let it dry for some time before you paint over it with white color. Now, start drawing hearts on it with red color and decorate them with white dots using a thin brush dipped in white paint. After this, draw out some letters like “I Love You” or whatever words you want to write using black marker pen.

Create A Heart Map

Draw a big heart on the floor or ground outside with chalk and invite your child to draw hearts on it using sidewalk chalk or markers from inside the house if it’s cold outside. They can draw as many hearts as they like, making sure each one is different from all the others. You can even help them draw some hearts yourself!

Have Fun With Food

Valentine’s Day is about love, so why not make it about food too? Bake heart-shaped cookies or cupcakes with your child and decorate them however you’d like! You could even incorporate their favorite colors into the recipe by adding red or pink food coloring.

Valentines Tea Party

This is an easy party idea that can be made more fun by adding extra props like red heart shaped plates, napkins, tablecloths, balloons and even food. If you want to go all out you could even make heart shaped sandwiches or cookies!

Heart Attack

This is another easy party idea, but it does require a bit more planning than a tea party as there are more people involved. You will need to buy some cheap heart shaped chocolates or candy from the store and place them in bowls around your house (or yard if weather permits!). Then simply tell everyone they must search through the house/yard and find their “heart attack” before time runs out!

Scavenger Hunt for your Sweeties

Create a scavenger hunt for your sweetie that leads to a special place or activity. You can write clues on pieces of paper or leave them in places where they will be found by your spouse or partner. Hint: Make sure the clues are easy enough for them to solve without assistance from you!
